Well a month ago i received my craftsman 10 inch woodworking bench top bandsaw and i have to say that i like it. in my other shop i had in connecticut i had a jet 14″ bandsaw and boy that got a lot of use… great machine.. I'm ready to purchase a jointer. a bench jointer will best in my shop. i've read alot of mixed reviews on delta jointers, not much else. what is the best, and most affordable bench jointer?. I'm using this with the kreg top trak on my shop-built fence. as others have noticed, there is a noticeable 'shift' when the locking screw is tightened down, knocking the stop a couple thousandths out of square.. Also, check out the drawing. that is something that hasn’t been available before and might still help you with some of the details. good luck with your bench build.. One of the first tools a beginning woodworker needs is a good solid workbench with a real woodworking vise. this bench need not be a fancy affair made of expensive woods in some classic style..
