Time for an update with my new year, new room refresh challenge! this challenge has a whole whack of bloggers participating and is hosted by the lovely casa watkins living.. Now i need your opinion-i had originally planned to hang this on the wall in my son’s room but one of the other projects i started this weekend was making him a headboard-my husband had the idea of framing this out and making it into his headboard…what do you think?. The new apartment was still feeling a little empty and un-lived in so simon and i set about on this fun little project! it took as about 4 days to put it all together but most that time was spent sourcing the materials so if you were smart about it (and know where to get things – unlike us) then you could do it in a day easy..
What makes diy headboards so interesting is the fact that they go beyond the basics and they usually also double as decorative pieces for the bedroom. it all started with a practical purpose, to isolate sleepers from drafts and cold.. A few things the reader should know: this is my first instructable. i am pretty much learning as i go with wood working which is why, along with the pleasing.... Every bed comes with a headboard, but if you really want a truly original looking bed, replacing or decorating the headboard is the way to go..
